Earth Day 2025

On April 22, 2025, students and teachers at Government Secondary School Namphing came together to celebrate Earth Day, a global event dedicated to environmental protection and climate awareness. This year’s Earth Day carried a powerful theme: "Our Power, Our Planet" — a call to action reminding us that the future of our planet depends on our commitment to renewable energy, sustainable practices, and climate action.

The Eco Club of the school organized a series of impactful and creative activities to mark the occasion:

🌱 QR Code Plant Mapping

Students generated QR codes containing information about various plants and trees around the school campus. These QR codes were then pasted on the respective plants, allowing anyone with a smartphone to scan and learn more about the flora that beautifies and supports our local ecosystem. It was a great blend of technology and environmental education.

🚶‍♂️ Environmental Awareness Rally

The school conducted a lively environmental rally where students raised slogans, carried banners, and spread messages about climate change, waste reduction, and conservation. It was inspiring to see young voices echo the importance of protecting our Earth for future generations.

🌸 Plantation Drive

Various types of flowers and saplings were planted around the school premises. This initiative not only enhanced the green cover of the campus but also taught students the value of nurturing life and preserving nature.

Through these meaningful efforts, the students and staff of Namphing Secondary School demonstrated that small steps, when taken together, can make a big difference. Earth Day 2025 was not just a celebration, but a strong statement — that we are ready to take responsibility for our planet and lead the way toward a greener, cleaner future.

Let us continue to be the change Earth needs. 🌍💚
Together, we can power the planet with purpose!
